Architect, Hala Warde, who has worked with Jean Nouvel since 1990 and has been a partner since 1999 will close out the Past-Future lecture series with her presentation on the Mid Eastern version of the Louvre. She has led this project, currently under construction in Abu Dhabi, since its inception in 2007.

Lecture: "Architecture as a Vector of Culture.  The Louvre Abu Dhabi Experience."

A good opportunity to see an interesting project and discern some doubts about the project and cultural controversy arose around it.

Symmetries Architecture Workshop Winter 2012 Rome, a joint venture between Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, Università degli Studi Roma Tre Facoltà di Architettura and Universidad Europea de Madrid, will focus upon conceptual aspects to do with the overlapping of latent past and a present uses of urban structures, so visible in ordinary Roman life.

Taking old Teatro Marcello as a case study and diving into its successive incarnations over the centuries (market, renaissance palace, housing, warehouse,…), the workshop will unveiling temporal and physical layers and make them operative as working material for architecture.

On November 15 we announced here this performance in StoreFront, New York. if you could not attend, they have edited the videos of the performance that today we bring and some pictures. The installation was on view November 22-December 7. The opening event included a brief "teaser" performance. Full performances took place nightly, November 25-30, at 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M.
