Dionisio González (Gijón, Spain, 1965) is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Seville. Throughout his artistic career he has received numerous awards such as the Leonardo Scholarship, BBVA Foundation for Researchers and Cultural Creators (2016/2018), National Prize for Engraving, Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving (2015) or Winner of European Month of Photography Arendt Award, Luxembourg, Paris, Berlin, the Pilar Juncosa Prize and Sotheby's of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró or the Arendt European Photography Award in 2013.
His work is held by museums such as the Reina Sofía National Art Centre Museum in Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, USA, or the National Centre of Contemporary Art in Paris, as well as in important private collections. He has also participated in the ARCO art fair in Madrid. He has exhibited his works at countless galleries and art centres in cities around the world, including the Cultural Centre of Spain in Mexico and the JE JU BIENNALE.
