Today, 12nd of february 2015, at 08:00pm, Landnemar exhibition's opening takes place at espaciofoto (Viriato St.) by the photographer Álvaro Sánchez-Montañés. He presents us, with his photographs, devasted landscapes and minimalist architectures in a not very common relationship between culture and landscape.

The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 announce Andrés Jaque/Office for Political Innovation as the winner of the annual Young Architects Program (YAP) in New York. Now in its 16th edition, the Young Architects Program at MoMA and MoMA PS1 has been committed to offering emerging architectural talent the opportunity to design and present innovative projects, challenging each year’s winners to develop creative designs for a temporary, outdoor installation at MoMA PS1 that provides shade, seating, and water. The architects must also work within guidelines that address environmental issues, including sustainability and recycling.

Cities Connection Project, at Geneva

On 5th and 6th February, twenty Catalan studios will travel to Geneva (Switzerland), representing a broad cross section of the social housing models that have been built in Barcelona over the last ten years. Twenty selected works will be exhibited in the Geneva Pavillon SICLI under the title _Export BARCELONA ‘Social Housing in Urban Context’ until 22nd of the same month, thanks to the collaboration between the Cities Connection Project and the Maison de l’Architecture.

BLUEPRINT. SO-IL wraps NY's Storefront.

SO-IL has completed an installation on the Storefront façade, ‘shrink wrapping’ the structure in a film of taught, white material. The layer is pierced by apertures built into the Holl's façade, canvassing the city’s corner in a semi-transparent shell. By night, light from Storefront appears as luminous geometries, visible through the semi-transparent film.

‘Blueprint’ is the site’s latest exhibition — curated by Sebastiaan Bremer, Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu of SO-IL, the show invites visitors to survey 50 collected blueprints from architects, artists and designers dating from 1961 to 2013.

Prada's The Infinite Palace by OMA.

AMO [ the research branch of rem koolhaas’ OMA] has designed for Milan’s Men’s and Woman's Fashion Week 2015. AMO has created a new catwalk-showroom space entitled the ‘infinite palace’. Designed for luxury fashion house Prada, the runway extends through a enfilade of connected rooms that gradually shift in size and proportion, according its authors the design of these spaces allows a series of more intimate moments.

The interiors of Infinite Palace, designed by AMO, are clad with a blue and black marble effect, transforming the volume into a disorienting three-dimensional landscape. La Térmica & Contemporanea present 'John Lennon & Yoko Ono: Suite 1742. Photographs by Bruno Vagnini.' from January 23 to March 23 in Malaga, Spain, an exhibition that includes Bruno Vagnini's iconic photographs made in May 31, 1969 documenting the "Bed-In" for Peace held by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal.

Nearly five decades later, this show at La Termica, curated by Mario Martín Pareja,  the collaboration of Rodrigo Gutierrez Viñuales History of Art Professor and with ONO support, brings out the 30 pictures which illustrate one of the most significant moments in the history of the music and art in the Twentieth Century. But the exhibition is not only a Vagnini's picture show.

20th Century Spanish Architecture Tours: Edificio Castelar.

AEPPAS20 started a programme of visits and lectures on 20 of our country's most symbolic buildings in regards to its architecture and/or its relationship with the urban landscape around them. The first tour is titled 'Castelar Building and Rafael de La-Hoz' and will take place on January 20 between 6 and 8:30 p.m. at the Castelar building, Paseo de la Castellana 50.

The restoration and rehabilitation of these buildings has been exemplary in terms of the sensitivity regarding its criteria and methods and they stand as a model for professionals, authorities and agencies involved in the intervention, as well as for those who believe restoration to be a long-term investment.

PLAYTIME explores the dramatic and nuanced subject of capital. The film stars an international roster of actors including Maggie Cheung, Mercedes Cabral, James Franco, Colin Salmon and Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson, with Simon de Pury. Also on view is ENIGMA, a time-lapse city-scape video of Dubai, comprised of 2500 still images.
