Francisco Reina Fernández-Trujillo.- Architect by the Technical School of Architecture of Seville since 1989. Professor of Architectural Projects at the Technical School of Architecture of Seville since 1996. Previously, in the period 1990-1995 he was an advisor to the Ministry of Culture of the Regional Government of Andalusia. Member of the Andalusian Commission of Real Estate (2000-2003) and since 2013 is Member of the Andalusian Commission of Archeology.
In 2009 he founded the architectural studio Reina & Asociados together with the architects Olga Valderas and Mercedes Sánchez. His professional activity has been mainly directed to heritage intervention and has been disseminated in specialized publications. The rehabilitation and construction works have been combined with patrimonial performances in the Archaeological Ensembles of Itálica, Carmona and Baelo Claudia, in the castles of Jimena de la Frontera and Castellar de la Frontera (Cádiz), in the Roman Theater of Cadiz and, in The present time, in the Real Alcázar of Seville.
His constructed work has obtained diverse prizes and recognitions like the XI Prize of Architecture of the Official College of Architects of Huelva to the best work, Finalist in the Prize of Intervention of the Architectural Patrimony Spanish 2009 of the Superior Council of Architects of Spain, or the Medal De Plata 2015 Spanish Association of Friends of the Castles.
