SANAA will convert La Samaritaine department store into a mixed-use development, which also will include commercial space, offices and social housing.
The international luxury goods maker LVMH - Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton who won approval last year to convert the 141 year old building into a hotel, will invest 400 million euros in La Samaritaine, due to open in 2013. According to the town hall in Paris approximately 2,200 jobs will be created on the site, which employs 725 workers.
