CODA arquitectura
CODA's activities range from consulting in computational design applied to lightweight structures and complex constructions, to research and teaching at the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), and to its own design commissions. The team has built projects in Norway, Hungary, and Spain, and has taught in Austria, Sweden, and Korea.
Jaime Cantero is an architect from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and spent part of his professional career in London, where he worked with architects Richard Rogers, David Chipperfield, and Norman Foster, as part of multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge international projects. He later worked for a time in the Architecture Department of the engineering firm Prointec.
In 2011, he founded CODA Arquitectura, an office whose main objective is to design, collaborate on, and be involved in projects of diverse typologies, both large and small, and national or international in scope, always maintaining a high level of quality, innovation, and functionality.
CODA works on the development of construction and structural systems that allow for efficient form to be achieved with simple and economical means, with a team composed of architects, engineers, and computer scientists.
