CQFD Architecture (Ce Qui Façonne Demain)

CQFD Architecture (Ce Qui Façonne Demain) was founded in Paris in 2016 by Nacer Larbi-Youcef, architecte DPLG graduate of ENSA Paris-LaVillette. CQFD Architecture is a socially engaged architecture practice that pursues an economical and responsible approach toarchitecture. The founder’s earliest inspirations date back to the École Polytechniqued’Architecture et d’Urbanisme d’Alger, a work by Oscar Niemeyer, whose modernistheritage still nurtures his regard and practice.

Their engaged team is located in the heart of the Parc de la Villette, in one of the Folies de Bernard Tschumi, thefirm gathers architects with complementary skills and trajectories. This human scalestructure guarantees sustained involvement and direct coordination with clients at everystage of a project. Possessing full mastery of BIM, CQFD Architecture steers all of their projects in acollaborative digital environment. This approach ensures technical precision and quality ofcoordination, from brief to completion. CQFD Architecture is building differently, privileges the use of geo-sourced materials, bio-sourced and hybridconstruction methods resulting in the reduction of the carbon footprint of construction.

They make responsible and liveable architecture. Among its recently completed projects, the Pension de famille des Apennins, Paris 17e forthe RIVP (French public housing agency), through its subsidiary Hénéo, illustrates thisphilosophical approach: 19 furnished flats built of solid stress-bearing stone and woodenframework, round a renatured courtyard and common areas conducive to inclusion. Eachproject carries the same ambition: to offer sensitive and sustainable architecture, anchored in its territory where occupants and users benefit from bioclimatic designprinciples.
