Una Babara e Valentim Arquitetura

Una Babara e Valentim Arquitetura is an architecture studio founded in 1996 by Fernanda Barbara, Fabio Rago Valentim and other partners, based in Sao Paulo located in Brazil. The study seeks to design public and private spaces that improve the individual and collective lives of their users. They have participated in four editions of the Venice Architecture Biennale (2002, 2006, 2014 and 2018). The studio has received several awards for its Sesc Parque D. Pedro II project in the Historic Center of São Paulo, among which are the Santa Cruz Biennial Grand Prize, the IAB/SP Prize 2021, the Saint-Gobain Prize 2021 and the Roberto Aflalo Prize from AsBEA.

Fernanda Barbara. She is a licensed architect at the São Paulo School of Architecture and Urbanism where she currently works as a professor. She has received a FADU / UDELAR Project Research Specialization diploma in Montevideo | Uruguay, in 2017, and another, Des Mutations Urbaines at the École Speciale d'Architecture-Paris | France, in 2015. In addition to her training as an architect, she graduated in Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC - SP) in 1990 and studied Social Sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo in 1985 later studied Philosophy at the same university from 1986 to 1988.

Fabio Rago Valentim. Architect graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of the University of São Paulo where he has been teaching since 2003. He has taught in national architecture schools, but also in international schools. He was coordinator of the Editora Escola da Cidade between 2016 and 2022. In 2008 he wrote a critical essay as part of Elisa Bracher's publication, "The city and its margins" awarded by the Institute of Architects of São Paulo.
