Directed by Manuel Pasik, the audiovisual piece accompanying El Kuelgue and El Kanka's project emerges as a dialogue with the city of Madrid. The streets appear as doorways and the plazas as open courtyards, still waiting to be inhabited, in that suspended time that precedes the daily bustle.
The project is thus presented as a celebration of the essence of Madrid: encounters with friends, terraces, beer and vermouth, friendship, and customs linked to enjoyment. Madrid appears as a stage where spontaneity still has a place, where every casual conversation, every stroll, or every after-dinner chat can become a memorable event.
The camera explores scenes of Lavapiés and Madrid Río with an attentive gaze on what usually goes unnoticed. More than portraying a city, the work records a way of being in it: pausing, observing, and recognizing the beauty contained in the simplest gestures and seemingly insignificant details.

Through slow-motion sequences, the piece oscillates between joy and melancholy: the thrill of the encounter coexists with the certainty of its ephemeral nature. As Borges wrote, the past is the stuff of which time is made, and for that very reason, everything immediately becomes the past. However, far from generating nostalgia, this condition invites us to value the present and recognize the intensity of what happens here and now.
The city of Madrid thus emerges as an emotional infrastructure: it reveals itself as a space capable of stimulating connections, memories, and shared experiences; a place where there is always something unexpected to discover. In a city where the air seems to hold its own history, daily life acquires an almost poetic dimension: a constant invitation to inhabit the world with attention, gratitude, and wonder.
