Superando todos los obstáculos. Daisies por Katy Perry

Daisies es el primer sencillo que vio la luz del quinto disco de la artista Katy Perry. Publicado en mayo de 2020 sirvió como antesala del lanzamiento del disco Smile, publicado en verano de ese mismo año. Tanto la letra como el video mandan un mensaje claro, seguir el camino que cada uno se ha marcado sin darle importancia a lo que otros puedan pensar.

En el vídeo, dirigido por Vallée Duhamel, se nos muestra un mundo muy colorido y con espacios surrealistas que ilustra como la chica protagonista supera todos los obstáculos que aparecen en su camino. Más de 40 artistas de todas partes del mundo trabajaron en la creación y animación de este vídeo de manera remota.

El vídeo nos muestra esos obstáculos personales de los que habla Katy Perry en la letra de Daisies, personalizados en la roca que invade la vivienda de la protagonista, transformándola en espacios totalmente surrealistas y coloridos. Esa roca permanece junto a ella durante gran parte del vídeo, haciendo que todas las estancias de su vivienda se desequilibren, tornándose inciertas e incluso inquietantes.

Tras este viaje por esos espacios tan sugerentes a la par que desasosegantes que la protagonista ha de superar por sí misma, el vídeo termina con ella alzándose al cielo de una noche profunda sobre todo lo que le rodea tras superar todas sus adversidades.
