La cantante Joy Elizabeth Akther Crookes, conocida como Joy Crookes presentó el pasado 3 de febrero, su nuevo tema «19th Floor», el segundo single de su album «Skin».
Realiza un viaje visual a traves de los suburbios de Londres, donde, como relata la cantante, su abuela, inmigró, en la misma torre de estilo brutalista que vemos en el vídeo.

Joy Crookes, en esta obra tan personal en la hace una referencia a sus orígenes, localizaciones que podemos ver a lo largo de todo el vídeo musical, en el que las imágenes mostradas hacen referencia al barrio de Walworth.
La edificación que podemos ver en el vídeoclip, es de estilo brutalista, es la torre Trellick, en Kensal Town, con una tipología similar y del mismo arquitecto, que otra que podemos obsevar en la zona este de la ciudad la Balfron Tower, un rascacielos icónico proyectado por Erno Goldfinger, situado en Poplar al este de Londres, Inglaterra.
«Me encantó trabajar con Ebenezer en este video. Queríamos crear imágenes que reflejaran la complejidad y la belleza de la comunidad, especialmente la comunidad de inmigrantes dentro de Londres. La canción es un reconocimiento de todos los obstáculos que los inmigrantes tienen que superar para construir una vida en algún lugar como el Reino Unido, un reconocimiento del viaje que mi abuela, por ejemplo, tuvo que enfrentar para llegar al piso 19 de una torre del sur de Londres y las alturas a la que ha llegado.»
