Tiempos bélicos. King And Lionheart por Of Monsters and Men

Después del éxito alcanzado con sencillo debut Little Talks, los islandeses de Of Monsters and Men, vuelven a aplicar la misma fórmula para el segundo video del álbum My Head Is an Animal.

Con este video, el grupo comienza a consolidar un lenguaje propio que, aún sin tener el nivel de impacto que tuvo el primero, es una clara declaración de intenciones en relación a la estética que acompañaría a todos los vÍdeos de su primera producción discográfica.

Of Monsters and Men nos presenta aquí una nueva parte de su mundo fantástico, combinando en una escala de grises cautivante, imágenes y siluetas animadas con acción real, representada en los personajes humanos. Los únicos atisbos de color del video se ciñen a tonalidades ocres y rojizas, y se limitan únicamente a los cuatro protagonistas de esta historia, para que con el correr de la narrativa vayan aumentando en intensidad y saturación con la aparición de los dos espíritus zoomorfos que los rescatan de su captura.

Una vez más, los oriundos de Islandia nos ofrecen un escenario apocalíptico y complejo, cargado de simbolismos de diferentes períodos históricos, superpuestos en varios planos a modo de collage, y levemente animados, para darnos esa sensación de estar viendo una versión animada sacada directamente de las páginas de Andrzej Sapkowski.
