Cairoli
Federico Cairoli (1985, Santa Fe, AR) is a photographer and architect (Fadu-UNL). His photographic and audiovisual work focuses primarily on themes related to architecture, cities, and landscapes. He has exhibited in national and international photography exhibitions and audiovisual festivals in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Austria, and the United States.
His photographs are published in various digital media and specialized architectural magazines. He has been a guest lecturer in workshop format at the School of Architecture of the University of Talca (Chile) and the National University of Córdoba (Argentina), and has given lectures in Talca (Chile), São Paulo (Brazil), Asunción and Encarnación (Paraguay), Santa Fe - Rosario, and Buenos Aires (Argentina). He has also worked as curator of Operación Rosa at the Rosa Galisteo de Rodriguez Provincial Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, Argentina, and as co-curator of the Argentine Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition - Venice Biennale 2018. He has exhibited his work as an installation at the MAC Museum in Mar del Plata as part of the exhibition Argigram (2019) with Sustantivo Colectivo, and at the São Paulo Architecture Biennial "Todo día" (Everyday) with the studios Arquipélago, AR arquitetos, and Messina Rivas.
He received a grant from the National Fund for the Arts of Argentina to develop the series "Rancho isleño," a photographic work that reflects on the way of building and inhabiting the island in the Litoral.
He is currently participating in the group exhibition "Free Access, Contemporary Public Space in Latin America" at the La Moneda Cultural Center in Santiago, Chile, curated by Fabrizio Gallanti and Francisca Insulza.
