Carbajo Barrios

Carbajo Barrios is a professional architecture firm based in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It was founded in the year 2000 by the architects Manuel Carbajo Capeáns (Santiago de Compostela, 1973) and Celso Barrios Ceide (Lugo, 1973).

Currently, the work team is completed with David Camiño Quintela, Laura Pardo Ponte and Alejandro Calviño Pérez.
 
Its work is characterized by a rigorous yet sensitive approach to urban and community needs. Among his most significant projects are several housing cooperatives—such as Galeras-Entrerríos and Trece Rosas—and cultural and social facilities, including the renovation of the former Capitol Cinema, the Carballo Vocational Training School, the Oza Sociocultural Center, and the Teo Municipal Cemetery. His career has been recognized with several awards, including a nomination for the FAD Awards and the 2023 Galicia Architecture Prize for his Cornes Residential Space project.
