Design ni Dukaan

Design ni Dukaan is an architecture studio founded by Veeram Shah in 2013, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Veeram Shah's journey in the world of art and architecture was shaped by the guidance of architect Girish Doshi, heir to the modernist legacy of the eminent architect B.V. Doshi. Veeram's perspective on architecture in today's corporate landscape is refreshingly different. He advocates for a concise and intimate office environment where discussions and interactions hold profound value, regardless of the project's size.

Veeram Shah conceives of design as a mosaic of collective experiences and observations, ranging from the ordinary to the extraordinary. His influences are diverse and transcend borders, including figures such as Gandhi, Raza, Kumar Gandharva, as well as modernist luminaries like Le Corbusier and Scarpa. For the past seven years, he has led Design ni Dukaan, overseeing a wide range of projects encompassing architecture, interior design, and furniture.

Under Veeram's direction, the studio is committed to ongoing collaboration with a wide range of designers, artists, artisans, and design houses. This collaborative philosophy seeks to foster a symbiotic ecosystem where art, design, and craftsmanship converge harmoniously. Rigorous research is a cornerstone of their approach, revealing the multifaceted brilliance of design in all its forms.
