Takehiko Nez was borned in Yamanashi (Japan) in 1965. In 1988 he obtained the Graduate from Department of Architecture, Tokyo University of Science, completing the Master Courde in 1991 (in the same university). In 1992 he completed the Diploma Course of Architecture, University College London, Bartlett School. In 1992 he established Loco Architects, reorganizing the practice in 2008: Takehiko Nez Architects.
He has obtained several awards, like the Interior Planning Award, 2004. In this year he obtained the Good Award, JCD Design Award, and in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 he won the First Prize, Design Competition for a Conceptual House in Tsukuba. In 2006, he was one of the 25 finalists of Kokueikan Project Design competition in Okinawa, and he obtained a Highly Commended, AR Awards for Emerging Architecture Awards.
