Oehy

Sandra Oehy (Zurich, 1984) is a Swiss art historian, curator, researcher, and educator. She studied Art History, Political Science, and Sociology at the University of Zurich, where she earned a degree equivalent to a lic. phil./MA.

Her professional practice lies at the intersection of contemporary art, architecture, design, and cultural research. From 2010 to 2013, she co-directed Van Horbourg, a contemporary art space operating in Basel and Zurich. In 2014, she served as project manager and co-curator of Bungalow Germania, Germany’s contribution to the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2016, she curated Incidental Space, Christian Kerez’s project for the Swiss Pavilion at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale.

She has also taught and conducted research at institutions including the University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, Zurich University of the Arts, and the University of Stuttgart. Since 2018, she has been affiliated with the Institute of the Foundations of Modern Architecture at the University of Stuttgart.

She has lived and worked in Stuttgart, Germany, since 2019, where she develops projects related to public art, urban culture, and cultural mediation.
