Rambla9 Arquitectura is an architecture studio founded by José Garcia-Ruiz Serra in 1982, and continued by José Garcia-Ruiz Verd. They work at the intersection of architecture and landscape, seeking a balance between needs, aspirations, and place.

Their design process begins with observation, paying particular attention to the qualities of the context. In this way, they integrate the built environment into the landscape, engaging in a dialogue with nature without imposing themselves. Each project is conceived as an act of respect: for the land that sustains it, the culture that inspires it, and the people who inhabit it.

For over four decades, the studio has developed housing, renovation, and public facilities projects with a perspective deeply connected to the territory, understanding each intervention as part of a living landscape. Their work has been recognized with two Ciutat de Palma Awards (1990), the Accessibility Award (2003), and Best Renovation at the 16th Porcelanosa Awards (2025).

José García-Ruiz Serra (Palma de Mallorca, 1956) is an award-winning architect specializing in rehabilitation and housing. He graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Vallès School of Architecture (1982), and holds a Master's degree in Pathology, Diagnosis, and Rehabilitation Techniques of Architectural Heritage from the same university (1993).

In 1982, he founded the studio Arquitectura Rambla 9, where he has developed housing, rehabilitation, and public facilities projects. He currently continues to work at the studio and is pursuing a Master's degree in Regenerative Agriculture 360° with The Regen Academy, contributing his experience and maintaining the spirit with which he began his practice.

José García-Ruiz Verd (Palma de Mallorca, 1988) graduated in Architecture from the International University of Catalonia (2012). During her studies, she completed an internship at BCQ Arquitectes (Barcelona, ​​2011) and worked at Aebi & Vincent Architekten (Bern, Switzerland, 2012–2015). She earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from EAE Business School Barcelona (2022). In 2015, she joined Arquitectura Rambla 9, the architecture firm founded by her father in 1982.
