SP25 Arquitectura
SP25 Arquitectura is an architecture studio based in Vic, Spain, founded by architects David Oliva and Elisenda Planas. The studio specializes in the management and development of new construction projects, rehabilitation, and ephemeral architecture installations, as well as in participatory process mediation and children’s architecture workshops. SP25 is conceived as an open, dynamic, and constantly evolving space, from which they also run Estudi Kraft —children’s workshops focusing on architecture, urbanism, and construction— and La Tintorería —an exhibition space in the heart of Vic. At Estudi Kraft, the creative and design process is emphasized, allowing students to manipulate and transform materials, textures, and colors, fostering experimentation, curiosity, and learning through play.
In addition, the studio has developed workshops and advisory programs within the framework of Art i Escola, exploring themes such as shelter, imagination, and play, and providing training sessions for early childhood education teachers. Ephemeral architecture enables them to experiment with light, geometry, and temporality, exploring new ways of engaging with space and shaping the perception of audiences.
Their work has been showcased in prestigious national and international festivals, including Lluèrnia, A Cel Obert, Gau Zuria, FAV, and the Festival des Architectures Vives in Montpellier, with notable installations such as Origami Lava, Sablier, Hell, Sweet Hell, 0000, Finestres, and Anhel. Throughout their career, SP25 Arquitectura has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the FAD Awards, EMPORIA, Darc Awards, National Awards for Ephemeral Architecture, and Girona Architecture Awards. They have also contributed to urban interventions, exhibitions, and artistic mediation projects in Vic and other cities, promoting cultural and artistic engagement within their communities.
