María Toral began her professional career as a cultural manager at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux and has since developed an extensive curatorial practice, which she combines with publishing articles in books and specialized journals.
Throughout her career, she has curated exhibitions for museums and foundations both in Spain—in collaboration with institutions such as the Community of Madrid, the Cervantes Institute, AECID, and SEACEX—and internationally, in cities such as Paris, Istanbul, Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, and Lima.
