Would you like to have your project published in METALOCUS?
METALOCUS is an international magazine dedicated to architecture, art and science. We welcome submissions from architecture studios, professionals, institutions and authors interested in sharing their projects, research and work with our readers.
Before submitting your project, please read the following guidelines to help us review your proposal and consider it for publication.
What kind of projects are we looking for?
What kind of projects are we looking for?
Our editorial selection is based on architectural quality, cultural interest, research and the relevance of each proposal.
We value projects that offer new perspectives on architecture, the city, landscape and their relationships with society, regardless of their scale, location or the reputation of their authors.
All submissions are subject to editorial review. Receiving a proposal does not constitute a commitment to publication.
How to submit a project
How to submit a project
Send your proposal to metalocus@metalocus.es, including a brief description, the project's location, the names of its authors and a representative selection of photographs.
A complete press dossier is not required at this initial stage. If the project fits our editorial direction, we will contact you to request the necessary documentation.
You can include sample images in your email and provide the remaining materials via WeTransfer, Dropbox or OneDrive, using accessible download links that do not require registration.
What materials do we need for publication?
What materials do we need for publication?
Once a project has been selected, we will request a press dossier containing:
Photographs. A representative selection of original JPG images, preferably covering exteriors, interiors, the surrounding context and relevant details, with a width of at least 2880 pixels for horizontal images. Images must be free of watermarks, overlaid text and artificial upscaling. Full photographer credits are essential.
Architectural drawings. Site plan, floor plans, elevations and sections, together with construction details where appropriate. Files should be provided in JPG or PDF format, with a minimum resolution of 2048 pixels for image files. Low-resolution drawings embedded in presentations should be avoided.
Project description. A text explaining the project's objectives, initial conditions and main architectural decisions. The text should be provided in an editable format, in Spanish or English, preferably both.
Project credits. Architects, project team, external consultants, client, contractor, floor area, dates, location, budget (if available) and photography credits. All names and information must be accurate.
Biography. For studios or authors being published in METALOCUS for the first time, a biography of approximately 300 words, accompanied by a portrait and links to their official website and social media accounts.
The documentation should provide a clear understanding of the project and properly acknowledge everyone involved.
Exclusivity and publication
Exclusivity and publication
We particularly value unpublished projects and those we can present before they appear in other media.
If you are offering us an exclusive project, please make this clear in your submission. Publication terms and dates will be agreed directly with the authors or their representatives.
Please also let us know if the project has already been published, is subject to an embargo or is scheduled to appear in other publications.
Receiving a submission does not constitute a commitment to publication or exclusivity on the part of METALOCUS.
Copyright and permissions
Copyright and permissions
Anyone submitting materials for publication must have obtained the necessary permissions from the relevant rights holders, including those responsible for photographs, drawings, videos and texts.
These permissions must cover editorial publication in the Spanish- and English-language digital editions of METALOCUS, as well as distribution through our communication channels and social media platforms, with appropriate authorship credits.
Submitting materials does not entail the transfer of copyright or, in itself, constitute authorisation for any use of those materials. Publication terms must be confirmed before the materials are published.
You can consult our general conditions in the «Legal Notice. Terms and Conditions».
What happens after submission?
What happens after submission?
Our editorial team reviews the proposals we receive. Due to the volume of submissions, we cannot always respond to everyone individually.
If your project is selected, we will contact its authors or representatives to request or complete the documentation, verify credits and agree on publication terms.
METALOCUS will edit the texts, select and arrange the visual materials, and determine article titles in accordance with its editorial criteria.
Once an article has been published, its title cannot be changed on the grounds of subsequent editorial preferences, except in exceptional circumstances or where corrections are required by law. Requests to correct documented errors will be reviewed individually.
Videos and additional materials
Videos and additional materials
If you have videos or other documents that help explain the project, you can include them in your submission, indicating their authorship and conditions of use.
METALOCUS may consider including them in the article or sharing them through its channels, subject to the relevant permissions.
Share your publication
Share your publication
Once your project has been published, we will send you a link to the article and share it through our communication channels and social media platforms.
We encourage you to share it on your website, social media accounts and newsletters, crediting METALOCUS and linking to the original article.
Sharing the publication helps extend the project's reach and acknowledge the work of everyone involved.
Thank you for sharing your work with METALOCUS.
