Aether Architects
Aether Architects is an architectural practice founded in 2015 by architect Zelin Huang (1982). It is based in Shenzhen, China. Initially trained in art, he discovered architecture after encountering the work of Álvaro Siza, an experience that steered his interest toward an architecture sensitive to natural phenomena, perception, and the relationships between space, matter, and the body. His work combines references to phenomenology, chaos theory, and Chinese spatial tradition. Among his best-known projects are the Air-Mountain Pavilion, Enclave Book Pavilion, and Gulao Tea Alcove, works characterized by lightweight structures, fluid geometries, and an integration of architecture, landscape, and experience.
