Arkosis

Arkosis is an architecture studio founded by architect Iván Delgado. Based in San Ramón, Costa Rica, it has offered architectural and interior design services to residential and commercial clients since 2009.

Iván Delgado is an architect from the University of Costa Rica, with a postgraduate degree in Lighting Design from LCI Veritas University, and a Master's degree in Social Innovation from the University of Salamanca.

He has been a professor at LCI Veritas since 2012 and Director of its School of Architecture since 2018. He served on the board of the Green Building Council Costa Rica (2023–2027) and directed the CCE Hub Costa Rica environmental entrepreneurship program.

He was a finalist in the XIII Ibero-American Architecture Biennial (Lima, 2024), and her work was selected for the state-of-the-art showcase of Costa Rican architecture at the 2025 Latin American Architecture Biennial. She has also participated as a lecturer in Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Belgium, and has been a visiting professor at universities in Guatemala, Chile, and Ecuador.

His practice focuses on the relationship between disciplinary autonomy and the social performance of architecture, addressing contemporary issues such as social inequality and climate change. The constant dialogue between academia and professional practice guides her educational work, which seeks to contribute to a broader social project through architecture.
