ARPOSTUDIO is an architecture and engineering practice founded in 2010 and based in Bergamo, Italy, combining architectural design, structural engineering, and natural building within an interdisciplinary approach.
The practice works for both public and private clients across projects of different scales and typologies, integrating architectural vision and technical expertise throughout the design process, engaged in the research and design of natural buildings, exploring materials such as timber, straw, rice husk, raw earth, cork, lime, and hemp. This research is complemented by extensive experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and hybrid construction systems.
Each project begins with an understanding of its historical, social, and landscape context, together with the specific needs of the client. This approach allows the studio to address complex projects while maintaining the character of a design workshop, where architecture and engineering develop through a continuous dialogue between form, material, and construction.
