Bakyta Architekti

Bakyta Architekti is an architecture practice based in Bratislava, Slovakia, founded in 2016 by Róbert Bakyta (b. 19. 11. 1987 – Bratislava, Slovensko). The studio is composed of Róbert Bakyta, Karina Humajová, Jaroslav Rell, and Eva Kusendová.

Their work is grounded in an interest in architectural approaches that reflect careful thinking, conceptual coherence, and a sincere pursuit of meaning. They engage with tradition as an active framework, seeking both to reinterpret it and to extend its development. In their view, every historical period offers valuable stimuli and sources of inspiration for contemporary creation; for this reason, they aim to study and understand the multiple layers that define each place. Their ambition is to operate beyond fleeting trends or fixed stylistic systems, while remaining receptive to the emergence of new ones and contributing to a wider architectural discourse.

They have collaborated over a long period with the BKPŠ studio and see themselves as linked to the legacy of the architectural school associated with Martin Kusý and Pavel Paňák.

Former key members include Ľubomíra Blašková and Tatiana Kuva.
