Bureau Face B

Bureau Face B is an architecture studio founded in 2010 by Camille Mourier and Germain Pluvinage, based in Lille, France. Their practice is rooted in a desire to combine physical and theoretical experimentation with the act of building. Their first commission—a 17,000 m² building—stemmed from research into the contemporary evolution of workspaces.

This experimental spirit is reflected in the diversity of projects the studio undertakes, ranging from sports facilities, museums, and media libraries to winter gardens, footbridges, renovations, and housing. Each project offers an opportunity to transform reality from a political, cultural, or ecological perspective.

Face B places people—and their capacity for emotional resonance—at the heart of its architectural practice. In 2018, the studio received several accolades for the Quai de la Moselle sports pavilion in Calais, including the Équerre Award in the "Culture, Youth, and Sport" category, the Eiffel Steel Construction Trophy, and the AMO Award. They are currently working on projects across various regions of France and Belgium.
