Canals Moneo Arquitectos. An architecture firm estabished by Valerio Canals (Madrid, 1975) and Clara Moneo (Madrid, 1975), both are architects from ETSAM and members of the Official College of Architects of Madrid.
In 2007 they formed Canals Moneo Arquitectos, from where they carry out their professional work directed mainly to the field of housing. Currently, together with Mathias Schütte, they are developing two protected housing projects for the EMVs as a result of two public tenders.
They have been awarded in international and national competitions- Urban Living, SEPES Viva, Lorca, EMVs- their work Casa Galgo was awarded COAM 2013. Their work has been exhibited at COAM (2015), Matadero Madrid (2011), E.T.S.A.M. (2009), Casa das Artes, Vigo (2007), Arquerías del Ministerio de Fomento (2007) and published in "Urban Living" by AA-projects, ViVa Architecture, AV projects, SEPES, Habitat Futura and EMVs among others.
From 2013 to 2019 and in parallel to his work with Rafael Moneo, they have worked in the project and construction management of the Bodega Descendientes de J.Palacios in El Bierzo and the expansion of Bodega Ribas in Consell, Mallorca.
Valerio Canals has been a professor of Projects at Universidad San Pablo CEU since 2008. Both have been professors of Design Studio at IE University from 2012 to 2015.
