iiode is a Lausanne-based design and research office founded in 2020 by Jean Besson, Jonathan Mauloubier, Patrick Morris and Lucas Uhlmann.
The studio provides concept and design services for lighting, environments, mediation and technologies. Gathering people and knowledge around a core team, they develop and produce components, objects, and installations with a conscious supply chain mainly using controllable light sources as material.
Their research focus is the encoding and transmission of information by designed methods to create emotional, multi-sensory experiences. Some of the research outcomes become products and are assembled with the intent of being reused in their next projects.
