Insitu
Insitu, an architectural firm founded in 2012 by César Tarazona, is a Lima-based studio focused on self-management, livability, and social sustainability in low-income contexts.
César Tarazona is an assistant professor of Architecture at the PUCP (National University of Peru), an Architect from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and a Master's in Collective Housing from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM).
He is the founder of INSITU, an architectural firm where he develops self-management and medium-scale construction projects, including competition participation, private consultancies, and the development of public investment projects in various Peruvian cities. His work has been recognized with the CELIMA architectural quality award (2011), the BAJ Biennial of Young Architecture in Peru (2013), the CEMEX TEC award in Monterrey (2019), and first place in various architectural preliminary design competitions.
In 2024, she received the national Golden Hexagon award at the 20th Peruvian Architecture Biennial with her project Obra Habitada en Huayruro.
