Kroeker
Richard Kroeker is a Canadian architect and academic born in 1954 in the prairies of Manitoba, Canada. After completing his environmental studies at the University of Manitoba in 1976 and graduating from the prestigious Architectural Association in London in 1984, he established a distinguished international career focused on co-design with vulnerable communities and First Nations.
As Professor Emeritus at the Dalhousie University School of Architecture, he has led research into regenerative building systems and the innovative structural use of regional timber. His valuable contributions to community architecture and cultural preservation have earned him high-level international distinctions, including the Schelling Architecture Foundation Award and his appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada.
