Libeskindllovet Arquitetos is an architecture practice founded by Sandra Llovet and Claudio Libeskind in 2000 in São Paulo. The practice develops architectural and urban projects across a range of scales and programs—such as public facilities, educational institutions, social housing, urban infrastructure, and the rehabilitation of degraded areas—for both the public and private sectors.
Throughout its history, the firm has received numerous awards; notable among them are the IAB’s Carlos Barjas Millan Award (1992) for the Botucatu School of Medicine project, and the APCA Award for Best Architectural Work in Brazil (2018) for the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) campus. The firm has also participated in exhibitions and events of national and international significance, such as the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale—featuring the redevelopment project for the Pirajussara 5 favelas—and the "Infinito Vão – 90 anos de arquitetura brasileira" exhibition at the Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos (Portugal), which showcased the UFABC campus project.
Sandra Llovet is an architect and urban planner who graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) in 1998. She worked at architecture firms and within the urban planning departments of the Spanish public administration before moving to Brazil, where she collaborated with MMBB Arquitetos Associados. Her background and professional career integrate architecture, urban design, and planning, with a particular focus on the relationships between public space, the city, and architecture.
Claudio Libeskind is an architect and urban planner who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Guarulhos in 1983. Before founding his own firm in 1987, he worked at Studio Nizzoli in Milan and the MBM practice in Barcelona. He has also taught architectural design at educational institutions in São Paulo. Their career combines professional practice, teaching, and participation in competitions, with experience in projects of varying scales and a strong connection to urban issues and matters of public interest.
