Rojo

Sergio Rojo (Zaragoza, 1975) holds a degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture at the University of Valladolid (2001) and a Master’s degree in Teacher Training for Secondary and High School Education from the International University of La Rioja (2020). He has been practicing professionally in Logroño since 2005.

He served as an associate professor of Graphic Expression in Engineering at the University of La Rioja (2020–2024) and as a member of the La Rioja Regional Planning and Urban Development Commission (COTUR), appointed by the Official Association of Architects of La Rioja (2015–2018).

His work focuses on the rehabilitation of built heritage, housing, and public architecture, incorporating digitalization as a tool to improve the performance and management of rehabilitated buildings. He views technology as an instrument at the service of architecture, enhancing functionality while preserving the formal identity of the existing structures.

Notable recent projects include the rehabilitation and digital transformation of the Sala Amós Salvador in Logroño, the restoration of the Albelda de Iregua Rock-Hewn Site through reversible interventions, and various residential rehabilitation projects aimed at improving accessibility, energy efficiency, and the architectural quality of the built heritage.
