Jose Martí (Valencia, 1969) is an architect and associate professor at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (ETSAV-UPV). In 1999, he started his own professional practice as an architect at the same time he began his PhD studies. In 2008, he established a new architectural office, Rstudio, leading a team of architects who work on the development of every project as a unique challenge.
In constant search of new challenges and opportunities to continue exploring architectural processes, the team has built so different uses buildings, including a primary school in Valencia (won by public competition) and the Palmaret subway station, published worldwide. In the recent years, the office has suffered an important change related to the scale of the projects, building his bigger and most impressive buildings: a Classroom Building and Marina de Empresas. Rstudio considers flexibility as a must in his work, where projects are not just the addition of good and independent concepts, but also a whole idea of unity.
