Schaudt Architekten BDA
Schaudt Architekten BDA is an architecture firm founded in Konstanz in 1967 by Professor Herbert Schaudt. With over half a century of experience, the firm has developed a practice focused on high-quality, sustainable architecture, prioritizing cost, energy, and schedule optimization. From 1993, Partners Martin Cleffmann, Helmut Hagmüller and Roland Sorichter jointly led the office, establishing a successful and creative collaboration. In 2020, the team was strengthened with the addition of new partners Tobias Strecker and Florian Hagmüller, who assumed the firm's continuity into its third generation. At the end of 2023, Cleffmann, Hagmüller, and Sorichter retired from active management, passing the leadership to Florian Hagmüller and Tobias Strecker.
The firm works for private clients, investors, and public administrations, providing professional support for each project through close dialogue with its clients. Their work is defined by the joy of building, the creation of living spaces, creative design, and the search for unconventional solutions. Since 1995, Schaudt Architekten BDA has been operating from its own premises near the port of Constance, in the renovation and expansion of former railway garages, a protected historical monument. The spaciousness, the light, and the views across the lake to the Alps are part of the everyday environment that fosters the studio's work culture.
