Stadtgrad
Stadtgrad is an architecture practice founded by Mirza Vranjakovic and Mirco Wieneke in 2023, with offices in Basel, Switzerland, and Berlin, Germany.
The studio focuses on sustainable development, urban design, and exploring the architectural future. The name combines the German words "Stadt" (city) and "grad" (degree), reflecting its analytical and methodical approach to the built environment.
Mirza Vranjakovic studied architecture in Istanbul, Madrid, and Berlin, developing an international background that has influenced his design and academic approach. He has been part of STADTGRAD since 2023 and has been a lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin since 2019. From 2018 to 2023, he worked at Hascher Jehle Architektur, and from 2012 to 2013, he collaborated with CM Mimarlik. In 2024, he became a member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects.
Mirco Wieneke studied architecture in Münster, Berlin, and Zurich, building a career marked by international training and solid professional experience in renowned European firms. He has been a member of STADTGRAD since 2023 and, in 2024, became a member of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA). Between 2018 and 2023, he worked at Herzog & de Meuron, and previously collaborated with Illiz Architektur between 2016 and 2017, Gigon/Guyer Architekten between 2015 and 2016, and Bolles+Wilson between 2014 and 2015.
