TAMA
TAMA is an architecture and urban planning practice founded in 2012 in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, by four partners: Salvador Román (1988), Felipe Díaz (1989), Carlos Rebolledo (1988), and Manuel Rodríguez (1990). Their work focuses on projects where design must simultaneously address spatial, urban, and financial constraints.
Rather than producing isolated architectural objects, they conceive of architecture as a process of articulating multiple systems: clients, investors, consultants, engineering disciplines, brand identity, and operations. This approach allows them to tackle complex projects in which design functions as a strategic tool for structuring processes and generating urban value.
The result is a studio that combines rigorous pragmatism with architectural exploration, understanding design not only as a formal exercise but also as a tool capable of transforming how urban environments are built and operate. His work has been recognized at the Yucatan Architecture Biennial, the Mexican Young Architects Biennial, the AAI Peninsula Awards and the Architecture MasterPrize.
