Ucees is a Krakow-based architectural firm founded in 2007 by Piotr Uherek and Marek Szpinda. The firm focuses on a variety of projects focused on architecture, urban planning, and interiors. The team also places special emphasis on innovation, utilizing tools such as BIM technology.

Piotr Uherek was born in Krakow in 1962. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Krakow University of Technology in 1987. From 1988 to 1993, he worked as an assistant at WAPK. From 1991 to 2007, he worked at the ddjm architectural firm in Krakow. He has held a design authorization since 1999. Since 2007, he has been a co-founder and partner of Ucees.
Marek Szpinda was born in Tomaszów Lubelski in 1978. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at the Krakow University of Technology in 2002, he worked at the ddjm architectural firm in Krakow from 2002 to 2007. He has held a design authorization since 2007 and has been a co-founder and partner of Ucees ever since.
His work has been recognized by architectural competition juries.
2024.- Mention in the competition of “Architecture of the Year of the Silesian Voivodeship 2024” in the category of multi-family buildings.
2024.- SARP 2024 Award of the Year in the category of multi-family residential buildings for the “Nova Mikołowska” complex.
2022.- 1st prize in the competition for the design of an office building for RE-Bau Ltd. located in Krakow at Pachońskiego Street 5a.
2018.- Mention in the competition of Architecture of the Year of the Silesian Province in the category of interiors in the Hospital “GeoMedical”.
2018.- Nomination for the 2018 SARP Award in the category of special buildings for the “GeoMedical” Hospital facility.
2017.- Award in the competition for the design of a residential complex in Krakow.
2011.- 1st prize in the competition for the Headquarters of ATMOTERM S.A. in Opole.
2011.- Honorable Mention in the competition for the Expansion of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole.
2010.- 1st prize in the competition for the Cultural and Hotel Complex in Dobrzen Wielki.
2010.- 1st prize in the competition for the RES-VITA Shopping Center in Rzeszow.
2009.- 1st prize in the competition for the Administrative Center in Rzeszow.
2009.- Honorable Mention in the competition for the Development of Wolnica Square in Krak.
