Vargas González

Rodrigo Vargas González is an independent architect who trained at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC 2007) and completed a Master in Urban and Territorial Development at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC 2012).

Rodrigo Vargas develops his independent professional activity as a specialist in strategic urban and territorial planning, in which projects of certain relevance have materialised such as the ‘Diagnostic Study of Urbanisation in the Canary Islands’ and the ‘Methodological Guide to the Urban Agenda in the Canary Islands’, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands between 2021 and 2023. He has also coordinated and led the pilot project funded by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda for the drafting of the ‘Action Plan of the Urban Agenda of Candelaria’.

In 2019 he joined the team of the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona as an urban technician, where his main work consists of data analysis based on urban sustainability indicators.

In addition, he is a member of the UNESCO Chair at the University of Lleida and the 3R City Observatory, from which he promotes initiatives aimed at urban rehabilitation and regeneration.
