Description of contest by ASEMAS

ASEMAS, Fixed Premium Insurance and Reinsurance Mutual, has convened the IV edition of the PFC Arquitectura 2021 Contest. Joining the world of work is one of the main challenges faced by young graduates from Spanish Architecture Schools. With the intention of valuing their End of Degree Projects (PFC), recognizing the quality and professional competence ASEMAS, the Mutual of Architects, wants to reward their work and provide them with solid tools that will help them in their first approach to the labor field.

The prizes valued at 10,000 euros, in cash, will be distributed in a first prize endowed with 6,000 euros, and two second prizes of 2,000 euros, each. The three winning works, and a selection of outstanding projects will be published on the competition website.

The jury made up of five architects appointed by the governing bodies of ASEMAS will analyze the proposals according to criteria of idea concretion, materiality, quality, originality, compliance with regulations, innovation, elaboration and construction process within an architectural project. Participants, for their part, must accept and comply with the rules of the contest.

"We, who help to guarantee the solvency of the profession, being an essential tool for its exercise, have a social responsibility to support young people by contributing to their proper development and the assessment of their skills for the world of work."

Fulgencio Avilés, president of the ASEMAS CA.
