Aguado Benito

José Antonio Aguado Benito was born in 1966. Architect by the ETSAM (1991) and doctorate by the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2020), with the thesis Miguel Fisac, construcción por analogías, rated outstanding cum laude.

He began his career collaborating with studies such as those of Marian Álvarez-Buylla, Joaquín Ibáñez, Yago Bonet Correa and Antonio Fernández Alba. Later he worked in structures with Alfonso Gómez Gaite (GOGAITE) for studios such as Paredes-Pedrosa, Mansilla y Tuñón, Alas-Casariego or Rojo-Fernández Shaw.

Since 1991 he develops his professional practice in his own studio together with Emilia Benito. In 2019 he received the RABACHT Award for the rehabilitation of the Hospital de la Santísima Trinidad de Torrijos (Toledo).

Specialist in structures and installations, he collaborates regularly with studios such as Plantea, TAKK, Adam Bresnick or Foro arquitectos. He has participated in ephemeral assemblies in numerous cities in Europe and Australia.
