Estudio Borrachia

Architect Alejandro Borrachia has directed Estudio Borrachia, founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, since 2000. His works have received numerous awards, including the National Award for Technological Innovation in Architecture and Construction from the Ministry of Technology and Construction (MINCYT); first prize at the SCA/FADEA Biennial; first prize at the International Biennial of Argentine Architecture; and two of his projects were selected by the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago (IIT) for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP).

He has worked in academia as Dean of the School of Architecture and Design at the University of Morón since 2017. He also serves as a Full Professor of Architecture I and II at the same school, and as a professor of the Final Integrative Project. Within this framework, he developed the "Federal Academic Assistance Program" (PAAF!): a full-scale thesis system recognized and awarded by multiple institutions.

He has been invited to give lectures at the National University of Rosario, the National University of Córdoba, the UNAM (Mexico City), the UdelaR (Montevideo University), the Universitá degli Studi di Udine (Italy), the Pakhuis Institute in Zwijger (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, among others.

He is the author of the book "New Architectures in a Hyperconnected World," and his works and architectural theory texts have been published in numerous specialized architectural media in Argentina and abroad.
