Marjan Hessamfar and Joe Vérons architectes urbanistes was founded in 2004 by Marjan Hessamfar and Joe Vérons. Based in Bordeaux, Paris, and Toulouse, the firm boasts a team of over twenty architects and engineers.

Since its inception, the firm has developed extensive experience across a wide range of projects nationwide, including education, housing, retail, cultural, sports, urban development, and more, encompassing numerous mixed-use developments.

Winners of the First Project Award in 2008 for the Jean-Jaurès Nursery School in Cenon, Gironde, and two Regional Timber Construction Awards—for the Mont-de-Marsan Vocational Training Center in 2016 and the COBAS Technical and Environmental Center in La Teste-de-Buch in 2018—Marjan Hessamfar and Joe Vérons also received the Housing Medal from the French Academy of Architecture in 2017 for their approach and career in the field of housing.

Their work has received other accolades, such as the European Architecture Award in 2020 for their school complex with sports facilities in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, in the education category.

Based on an understanding of the local context, their approach seeks to create sustainable, low-impact, and adaptable living environments, reconciling controlled density, quality of use, the enhancement of local resources, and the continuity of the landscape.
