MÉTRA+ASSOCIÉS

Brigitte Métra founded her architectural studio, MÉTRA+ASSOCIÉS, in 2003 in Paris, after winning the competition for the construction of the convertible concert hall in Dole, which opened in 2006.

In partnership with Jean Nouvel, she gained extensive international experience in large cultural projects, primarily concert and performance venues: Théâtre de l'Archipel in Perpignan (2011), the Philharmonie de Paris Concert Hall (2015), concert halls in Lucerne, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Teatro alla Scala in Paris (2016). Guthrie in Minneapolis, United States, an office and retail building at Porte de la Chapelle in Paris, 18th arrondissement, in 2020.

The MÉTRA team was selected as a winner of the "Committed to the Quality of Future Housing" initiative, launched by the Ministries of Ecological Transition, Housing, and Culture, for two projects in Besançon and Villeneuve-la-Garenne, built with wood and bio-based materials.

In April 2013, Brigitte Métra was promoted to Chevalier of the National Order of the Legion of Honor. In 2020, she was appointed Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters by the Ministry of Culture. She has been a full member of the Academy of Architecture since 2014 and was a member of the Regional Council of the Order of Architects of France (2017-2024).
