Steimle Architekten
Steimle Architekten is an architecture practice based in Stuttgart, Germany, founded in 2009 by Thomas Steimle, with Christine Steimle joining as a partner in 2014. Both architects share a design philosophy centered on freedom of thought, structural clarity, the use of light, and material honesty. Their work ranges from sensitive renovations to new construction projects, always with attention to context and the tactile nature of architecture.
Their most notable projects include the Kressbronn Community Library, which transforms a former barn into a cultural space; the E20 Residence in Pliezhausen, a concrete dwelling with faceted geometry; the Markelfingen multipurpose pavilion, a community center made of wood accessible on all sides; and the Remchingen Town Hall, with its expressive concrete façade. His works have received recognition such as the Best Architects 18 Gold, the Hugo Häring Award, the AIT Award, and prizes from Schöner Wohnen and Callwey.
