Juanjo Riera is responsible for the concept and artistic direction of "Mediterráneo," the music video for the new version of Joan Manuel Serrat's classic, performed by the Madrid duo Bala Bengala.
Reinterpreted both musically and visually, the video weaves an intimate narrative between the artists' present and past, viewed from that distance. This imagery includes mecha robots and references to Japanese pop culture, all within an aesthetic created exclusively for the piece.
Bala Bengala, the Madrid duo formed by Ana Loig (vocals) and Rafa Gil (production and instrumentation), now presents an experimental pop version of "Mediterráneo," one of the most influential albums in Spanish music and part of the country's collective imagination, following their album "Ya nada malo puede pasar" (2026), which featured a collaboration with Luichi de Cupido.
