The multifaceted artist Ecco2k—the stage name of Zak Arogundade—reemerges with his first solo single in five years. Produced by his frequent collaborator and fellow Sad Boys member, Gud, "Aldehydes and Ketones" immerses us in an electronic atmosphere that expands upon the sonic universe of his previous EP, PXE, and his cult-favorite album E.

The video filmed, directed, and edited by Zak.Follows the protagonist, Echo, on a journey across twelve different countries. Industrial ruins, urban settings, and monumental infrastructure are interwoven with remote, desolate natural landscapes.

Spanning six years of continuous travel, the footage captures Eco2k on a journey through a dystopian landscape—a smuggling mission of sorts. The result is a visual piece that blurs the line between the artificial and the biological, conveying a profound sense of isolation, alienation, and escapism within an immense, alienating world.

A solitary warrior, carrying rudimentary electronic devices—such as an antenna repurposed as a weapon—traverses the land, seeking telematic connections with cosmic forces through the mist on mountaintops, on rooftops above Shibuya, and beneath the blades of wind turbines.

Lyrics.-

Can you still fight? Then fight
Hi from the towers and the wires

Held at the border, carrying flowers
Beautiful ones, liquids, and a knife
Can I still fly?

Warm inside
The air is cold
Empty your pockets

Smuggling water
The rivers dry
No products, no perfume

Can you still fight? Then fight
Can you still fight?
