The urban setting of the city of Amsterdam, among its many peculiarities, is the proportion of voids making up the facades, being this value between seventy and eighty percent transparent. Some urban backdrops that speak of interest and importance that raises and puts clear pleasantly light design as a factor in a city's architecture, which rarely appears rarely and sunbeams. Facades that continually shed and built mass release, giving prominence to the gap value and setting the inner curtain opening.
Generally, typically serve character morphology rectangular and elongated in what relates to its vertical, ornament absent and protection elements, rarely observed in natural reasons flower pots mode. The woodwork and blur are drawn around mesh grid with larger or smaller dimensions, but in most cases storing a management and control language with the facade in which they are arranged.

But if something unlike these frameworks, is the behavior of the actors that are located behind them, which tell us live the daily life of the poor families that shame to be seen and that often prevents us from seeing beyond. A kind of television that portrayed in three dimensions and uncensored, and always disturbing different ways of living of people of all ages.
I remember several images whose content at the time it was designed, so ipsofacta settled in that attic of my memory. One of them took place in the neighborhood of the "Jordaan", a place where it sits mostly upper middle class of the city, where some bars appear timidly lit chandeliers typical grim story. That day, as a friend and I took a white wine at seven-thirty in the afternoon, a woman his son slept in his crib while her husband finished washing the dinner dishes.
The property was immersed in a silence which spread peace and quiet and a few stories about toys that were stacked in the white cabinet opposite the bed. An action denoting that this day was coming, at least for some, to an end. We both perplexed and astonished at what laid behind that window, whose players were fully aware that they were being watched, the privacy separator element disappeared.

But if there is a kind of hole in this city worthy of cheer and catalog as it deserves, is one that colonizes the base of the buildings of the famous Red Light District. A red-tinted windows become showcases of staff attraction and seduction, showing that another way of living. A special urban environment.
Whatever their nature, morphology or arrangement, these frames in real time narration never sleep.
