New Zealand is for a large number of people that remote territory formed by two islands that takes our gaze so far in the map. A place that awakens our longing for discovery, the urge to get away from routine, to embrace its nature, so near to its primitive state. Distant and probably unknown, but once you immerse yourself in each of its paths, forests or even beaches, this country, this place, starts gaining a sense of scenic perfection.
The green hills of The Catlins dotted with innumerable herds of sheep, the remote and beautiful beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park, the majestic mountains surrounding Queestown, or the lunatic scenarios at Wai O Tapu are just some of the places that form this spectacular mosaic of colors, textures and shapes, making this spot of the planet such a singular site.
Through this series of photographs, taken during over five months of travels and explorations through New Zealand's territory, the look of an outsider finds clues which the country hides only for those intrepid travellers who dare to explore the other side of the world. These photographs recreate New Zealand’s diverse landscape, with which anyone of us may feel identified.
