Bompas & Parr is looking a designer to join its team in London.

Bompas & Parr. Objective.- to successfully deliver creative and original design, supporting and developing the company’s capability to deliver spectacular concepts.

Designer.

Responsibilities.

  • Innovative design from concept to delivery.
  • To sketch by hand, drawings to range from product prototypes (eg. glassware) to interior perspectives – focusing on surface detail and materials.
  • Creating technical CAD 2 and 3 dimensional drawings.
  • Creating 2D and 3D renders working in Rhino.
  • Graphic design and artworking to include layout of proposal and creation of mood boards.
  • Sample making and producing mock-ups.
  • Art direction, producing creative for visual treatments, ie. photoshoots.
  • Set design and dressing, to include prop making and purchasing.
  • Ensuring the events team are kept up to date with all creative/ technical project developments.
  • Providing any requested creative and/or research as requested by clients via the events team in a timely and organised manner.
  • Ability to problem solve, manage and surpass the clients creative requirements.
  • Keep up to date with and ensure the studio are informed of any relevant creative developments within the design/architectural/food industry.
  • Research and development.
  • Reconcile personal expenses at the end of each month.

General.

  • to undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required.
  • to be able to speak knowledgeably about all aspects of the work of Bompas & Parr and to support the organisation’s principal aims and objectives.
  • to communicate regularly and effectively with the partners and to seek support from appropriate staff at the earliest opportunity should problems arise.
  • to support and promote the aims and objectives of Bompas & Parr both internally and externally.

Required experience.

  • Art/Design based degree level qualification.
  • Competent working with Adobe software including InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling, working with Rhino.
  • Physical model and prop making.
  • Art direction.
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve through design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PPT.

Expected salary £20,000 to £25,000.
