Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter was commissioned in 2015 to design a housing block in Skøyen is a neighborhood in the borough of Ullern, located in the western part of the Oslo city, Norway.

The project was completed in 2019. The district has an increasing share of business activities, a development started in the 80s. Skøyen is the site of Skøyenparken which surrounds Skøyen Manor.
Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter designed a housing complex of 15 apartments with generous openings and private balconies or terraces. The building has a sustainable pitched-roof.

Villa Ask is wrapped in hand-basin long-shaped tiles giving the project a unique language.

The new high quality housing project in Askeveien will offer innovative apartments, sheltered in a green and lush surroundings in Skøyen, Oslo.

The residential building will band together with the adjacent historical landscape and built environment in an attractive and humble manner.

Through the conscious use of qualitative and location- oriented architecture, the project will reinforce and develop the inherent identity of the site.

The pitched-roof housing complex consists of 15 apartments with generous openings and private balconies or terraces.

The play of the roof geometry allows the penthouse apartments generous ceiling heights and sheltered roof terraces.

Reiulf Ramstad Architects (RRA) is an independent Oslo-based architectural firm with a high level of expert knowledge and a distinct ideology. The firm has a strong conceptual approach combined with experience from past accomplished projects. RRA has a permanent staff consisting of 13 graduate architects, one managing director, 2 administrative staff, and 2-4 permanent openings for architectural students.

Over the years RRA has produced a wide range of innovative and ground breaking projects with an exceptional variation of scale and program. Reiulf Ramstad received Dottore in Architettura from Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, Venice, Italy. He established Reiulf Ramstad Architects (RRA) in 1995 in order to create an architectural practice that would turn conceptual research and practical knowledge into driving forces of sustainable design. RRA has earned a reputation for innovative architecture, displaying deep understanding of the uniqueness of every site and program and rejecting standardized solutions. Reiulf has worked with various types of project as both design architect as well as project leader.

Apart from professional work as an architect, Reiulf is also involved in academic activities. He has earned professorship from Arkitekthøgskolen in Oslo and was a regular thesis advisor and juror in the Faculty of Architecture. Reiulf was acclaimed professionally as board member of NAL, the National Association of Norwegian Architects, in the period between 1997 and 2000, where he became vice president between 2000-2002. He has served as a jury member for many architectural competitions both domestically and internationally. In the recent years, following numerous awards and publicity of RRA’s projects, he has been invited to give lectures at various institutions around the world.
